Katerina Varsamis

Katerina is originally from Greece, and currently she is a graduate student in the Tinoco Lab interested in investigating how phages use auxiliary metabolic genes to shape gut microbial chemistry. She is studying phage encoded enzymes within the gut microbiome. Outside of the lab, she enjoys crafting (especially with beads), traveling, and meeting dogs.
